Nostalgia

I got my laptop back today. Although it's extraordinarily small, and very compact, the screen being maybe, 10-inches, it feels natural.
My fingers are assuming natural positions on the small keyboard, and the light weight makes it perfectly comfortable to be balancing on my stomach, while i laze around in bed.
I have been lazing around in bed since, well about 4 hours because of it. Other laptops are too big and bulky, and usually have their power cords on the wrong side, but not my laptop. It's perfect for me.
Despite the slow internet I had been suffering for the entire time, up until now.. (I hope), it has served me well.
So, now I lay here, staring at this majestic machine, with no built-in disc drive, and hardly capable of any practical, educational use, and I see past it's flaws, into it's soul.. Which in this case, I'm going with the screen.. I would put pictures up, but I'm extraordinarily lazy at the moment. So, it's a white EeePC, or what it says on the laptop.. I'm too lazy to remember what it is.. Oh, the joys of holidays..

New Years

Sweltering heat shocks me awake. I sit up, breathing hard, with the fan next to me moving, only blowing air into me at the end of every half-rotation. I get up to fix the fan into a fixed position, breaking it. I sit there for 10 minutes trying to fix it, before deciding it was a lost cause and dumping it into my sister's unoccupied room. She wasn't there. It must be late. I go back to my room to check the time. 6:30 AM. I shat myself.
'What the hell am I doing up at 6:30AM? No wonder I am so tired' I think to myself as I go downstairs to find both my sisters sleeping on the cooler couches. My parents are up. They see me up, and automatically assume I'm going out. I sit there, being grilled over what I'm doing that night, to which I had to confess my late-night plans of hitting the town. Now that my mum knows, she could hold this over my head, using it to make me do harder chores. I hated when this happened. So, I am lying there, on the couch. Still epically tired from my late night, and unusual sleeping patterns. I fall asleep. Next thing I know, I'm in my room again, and it's now 11:30. My mum is really annoyed now that I haven't done any chores....

So, my day didn't start out too fun, and didn't exactly end on a high note, but still, new years, was a success from last year. Last year, I was left supporting my two, rather tall friends, who were falling over drunk, after being cockblocked by one, and breaking a coat-hanger with the other, who also broke a lamp and apparently a vase.
I went down to the bay, like all the other young teenagers. But unlike most teenagers, I was not drunk or high. I was fully sober. Excited by Yousif's mad driving, which probably almost killed us on many occasions, but not drunk in anyway.
So, as I wander around the bay with my group of asians, I say hello to my fellow revelers, showing the great Aussie spirit, jumping around with randoms for the sake of it.

As the time draws closer, my group finds an awkward position not close to anything, while standing there taking a numerous number of pictures. It must've been fair unorganised, because the next thing we know, we are counting down from 5. The fireworks didn't go on for too long, but I still managed to lose Mary, Tammy, Johnny, Anthony, Yousif and Husam...

Generally, my New Years was uneventful. A bit of this and that, but the bay did not live up to its reputation of being 'off the hook' at new years. Despite the large amount of drinking at the bay, which was supposed to be a 'Dry Zone', I was quite disappointed that it didn't get rowdier.
Maybe next year, when I'm a legal adult, I will enjoy a new years to the full extent. Actually, I was rather unlucky to be in Adelaide for new years, as I was supposed to be Melbourne, but my darn't parents didn't let me go..

The group, minus the ones standing behind the camera.
From the left:
Tammy, Husam, Linda, Yousif, Johnny, MEEEE, Mary and Anthony.
Aren't we cool?

My gosh, I sooooo love.. them shorts.. My 'Peter Pan' Shorts, dubbed by Tammy (pictured)
But seriously, who wants to grow up?

Black, White, Black, Black and White, BABY BLUE!

First girl, I met once, the other I met for the first time, and yet I still have the gall to pose. I am a champion.

Hope for next year!
